In 1961, Citadel Shipping Services, Inc. was founded by Mr. and Mrs. Francisco C. Delgado to act as general agents for Ben Line Containers Ltd. Citadel Shipping subsequently served as general agents for other shipping lines including Marchessini Lines (1961, Panama), Oyama Lines (1965, Japan) and Matson Lines (1968). Citadel Shipping then served as sales agents for Sealand (1970), Zim Container Service (1974), for Fuji Kisen Lines and Seatrain Pacific Services S.A. (1975) and for New Asia Line, which took over Fuji Kisen Line. Citadel Shipping continued as general agents for M.O. Nearseas, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsui O.S.K. until 1983. From 1990 to 2014, Citadel Lines served as sales and husbanding agents for Hyundai Merchant Marine Co. Ltd. Citadel Shipping is the joint venture partner of Hyundai Merchant Marine, in its local sales agency HMM Philippines. Since 2014, Citadel Shipping Services, Inc. has maintained trucking, chassis leasing, container surveying and husbanding operations. Citadel Shipping serves as manning agents for Doun Kisen, Hayama Shipping, Seiwa (Faith Marine Ltd), APEX Ship Management Singapore and Platano EESTI OU. Over the years, we have fielded thousands of first-class seafarers on board bulk, reefer, container, and fishing vessels. Citadel is a BVQI ISO 9001 2008 Certified “Standard to Quality Management System for Seafarer Manning Offices”.
